Southampton – In another famous “Hampton”, a class designed especially for students with disabilities meets at the local high school, which has donated the space and the phone line (for connecting to the Internet).  The majority of the funds supporting the class come from the Town of Southampton’s Disabilities Advisory Committee.  In this class, emphasis is placed on opportunities for working at home once people have developed the necessary computer skills.  We hope that if the current pilot class is successful, more funding will become available to expand and to add adaptive technology so that more students with disabilities will be able to participate.
